Research experiences: 1. Discovered the homologs of MazF exonucleases by gathering data from database, constructing a phylogenetic tree and predicting the secondary and tertiary structures of candidate proteins. 2. Performed ATAC-seq in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii to analyze transcriptional activities and open chromatin regions; constructed ATAC-seq DNA library by optimizing the nucleus extraction protocol, confirming the ratio of Tn5 enzyme to input nucleus, and optimizing PCR amplification process. 3. Constructed two R packages for downstream ATAC-seq analysis in Chlamydomonas. 4. Built lab websites with Python Django and Bootstrap 4 Frame. 5. Helped construct a 6mA MeRIP database and data visualization platform for lab members.
